OSA FACTS

• OSA is the only organization solely dedicated to providing services and programs for
individuals orphaned by violence in the United States.

• OSA’s goal is to empower individuals orphaned by violence by providing them with
scholarships to pursue their higher education goals.

WHO IS AN ORPHAN OF VIOLENCE?

A child or adolescent who has lost at least one parent from a violent death. Examples of violent death include but are not limited to homicide, suicide, war, natural disaster and sudden death accidents.

To provide social and educational support to individuals orphaned by violence.
